I finally can share this! Remember when I showed the fox face blocks? Well, the quilt is in the hands of the mommy to be, at last!
I really loved making this quilt for this sweet baby. I used Elizabeth Hartman’s Fancy Fox pattern. As I said before, assembly line IS the way to go! I quilted these wavy lines across the whole thing, and it was fun and easy! I ended up throwing in the stripe fabric because I felt it needed a little “zing.” I love it for the binding too.
I used an organic fabric that I’ve had for about two years for the backing. Orange is so popular right now, so it was the perfect fit.
This quilt was made for a friend’s daughter’s baby. My friend, Faith, is one of the most precious people in my life. We’ve been friends since fifth grade – 10 years of age, which is a neat trick since she’s claimed to be 29 for about 15 years! (She’s MY age! So not 29!) But I love her and was so thrilled to hear of her grandma status! One day soon I’ll put up a pic of the quilt Faith made for the baby. It’s amazing for her second quilt!
I ended up being pretty happy with this quilt. And I was thrilled to hear the mama likes it too.
